The restaurant - pizzeria Il Fondaccio dai Dottori was inaugurated in 2004 and obtained from a residential house from the late 1950s.
The name recalls the name of the pizzeria with the addition "dai Dottori", since the building from which it was obtained was originally inhabited by the town's doctors.
It is located about 1 km from the historic center of Castellina in Chianti and has access from two different roads: the first from Via Fiorentina, the road that connects Castellina to San Donato in Poggio , the second from the SS 429 towards Poggibonsi, inside which is the large private car park.
At Dai Dottori, in addition to pizza and appetizers, there is also a restaurant service, with a menu of typical dishes of the area in which it is found such as the Florentine steak, pici, tripe, peposo...
Fondaccio dai Dottori has a well-stocked wine list from many labels from mostly local wineries and small companies.
